Vines
A grape vine is irrigated with
two 1 gph emitters.
Drip emitters can be popped
right into the drip tube near
the base of the vine.
Most pressure compensating emitters
are made in 1/2, 1 and 2 gallon per hour
and will discharge their respective
amounts of flow between 10 and 30 psi.
Because vines growing
across a fence or trellis
can get quite large, high
volume emitters like this
4 gph can be used.
A vine sprawling across a
chain link fence is irrigated
with a 4 gph emitter.
Flag or Take-apart-emitters are made
in 1, 2, & 4 gallon per hour designs.
They are not pressure compensating
but they are less susceptible to
clogging and can be taken apart and
cleaned.
Rain Bird and several other
manufacturers now make a
drip tubing with emitters
extruded right in the tubing.
We stock 1/2" landscape
drip tube with with the .9 gph
emitters spaced every 12" in
100' and 500' rolls.
Landscape drip tube can also be
effective for vines and hedges
that are evenly spaced along a
fence row. Landscape drip tube
can be run in a straight line or
looped around the base of tree
or shrub.
We also stock a 1/4" emitter tubing where the
emitters are spaced 6" apart with a flow of .5
gph.
This 1/4" emitter line is wrapped around a
growing vine.
